why ‘masala dosa diaries’?

This trip is mainly in Southern India, the home of the dosa, and specifically the masala dosa – which is the picture at the top of each page. Masala dosas are often said to be an anytime food, have it for breakfast, have it for lunch, have it for dinner, and I’m sure we’ll eat a few. Here’s Wikipedia’s entry: masala dosa

This blog will serve as a record of some of the things we did, the people we met, the places we went. It is in essence our diary.

I therefore give you Masala Dosa Diaries.

But here’s the thing: I’m not sure I actually like masala dosas, but I’m going to go down trying. I will eat one in every town and judge a winner at the end of the trip.
